Incentives for purchase of electric vehicles this year in the amount of HRK 103.3 million
The Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency published on 5/31/2022. Public call for expression of interest to manufacturers, representative offices, general representatives and importers of motor vehicles in the Republic of Croatia. Anyone who is interested in having energy-efficient vehicles that they produce, or the vehicles of manufacturers that they represent, be included in the implementation of the measure to encourage the purchase of energy-efficient vehicles and who will be involved in the implementation of activities within the measure, can respond to the invitation.
The call to importers and manufacturers threatens subsidized sales of electric and energy-efficient vehicles.
On the day of publication of the Public Call for co-financing the purchase of energy-efficient vehicles, EPEEF will publicly publish the list of registered representatives, vehicles and sales points that are included in the implementation of the measure on the Fund's website. Submission of applications to the Public Call for co-financing the purchase of energy-efficient vehicles will begin within 8 days from the date of publication of the Public Call. Unofficially, EPEEF will announce this year's tender for incentives for electric vehicles on June 27, 2022, and the text of the public call will be published a week before, so that interested parties can prepare all the necessary documents.
Thus, the amount of total incentives will be increased this year, and HRK 103.3 million have been set aside for them (last year this amount was HRK 90 million, and in 2020 it was HRK 44 million).
The most interesting of course will be incentives for M1 and N1 category electric vehicles (passenger transport vehicles up to a maximum of 8 seats and delivery vehicles up to 3.5 tons) and for them HRK 70,000 or up to 40% of the value of the vehicle is provided, and we believe that for plug-in hybrids be of interest because the incentive is up to HRK 40,000.
Entrepreneurs will not be deprived either, because a maximum of HRK 400,000 in co-financing is provided for vehicles of categories N2, N3, M2 and M3 with electric drive (passenger transport vehicles or cargo vehicles up to 5 tons or more). There are also mopeds, motorcycles with two, three or four wheels (category L1-L7) for which a HRK 20,000 subsidy or up to 40% of the vehicle's value is available.
